Bailiff & Enforcement Services, Training & Consultancy

Professional qualifications and training is an important aspect of the new laws concerning the issue of Certificates for anyone wishing to work in the enforcement industry and undertake any 'regulated' work under the Taking Control of Goods Regulations.

Bestco are an independent organisation providing professional training and support services for Certificated Bailiffs / Certificated Enforcement Agents and clients employing their services.

Our training course is set to be an equivalent of an NVQ level 3 which is above the government minimum standard (of NVQ level 2) and we are awaiting for accreditation by the OFQAL accredited awarding body - this will enable us to offer the exam on the final day of the course - included in the price - thereby avoiding the necessity of getting the qualification through third party organisations.

Our training course has been endorsed and approved by the IPI (Institute of professional investigators) and are held at quality venues in London, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire

Training Programme (Certificated Bailiffs / CEA's)

The 3 day training programme has been designed to cover the fundamental aspects of the enforcement process, to give each candidate a knowledge of the processes that must be undertaken to comply with the Law. At the end of the training course is an examination of the knowledge gained and on completion and passing of the grade a certificate is issued. This certificate is proof that the bailiff / CEA has completed a recognized training course and has complied with the requirements of the regulations and can be used in the application for his General Certificate

The training courses are held at locations in Central London and Buckinghamshire and run from Monday to Wednesday  or Wednesday to Friday

We are trialing a 3 day course over 3 weeks (1 day a week) in September/October (subject to numbers) to allow those self employed Bailiffs/EA's who need to fit the training in with their daily working lives & family commitments and who a 3 day course is inconvenient.

Training Programme (clients)

When a Bailiff / CEA undertakes work on behalf of the client, he is representing the clients interests and accordingly must comply with the Law. As the client instructs the Bailiff / CEA to undertake the work, the client is liable for any actions undertaken by the Bailiff / CEA.

Bestco have designed a one day training course/seminar for clients to gain a knowledge of the Law surrounding the enforcement process and the rules that must be complied with. This knowledge can assist the client in resolving any disputes or claims made by third parties against the actions of their Bailiffs / CEA's

Clients can also undertake the 3 day intensive course and work towards getting a recognised qualification,  the knowledge gained can be used to monitor and check the bailiffs actions if any complaints are made about their conduct. This will help ensure that any complaints received are dealt with by a qualified officer and avert any reputational damage that could affect the clients business.

We offer training at locations in central London and Bedfordshire for clients members of staff who are directly involved with instructing and working with bailiffs / CEA's, alternatively training can be conducted at the offices of clients who have multiple staff requiring training.
